The Alphabet Series Volume 1

The Alphabet Series, Volume 1 reader set is designed to accompany the Recipe for Reading program from Educators Publishing Service. This set contains 18 readers that correspond to the first third of the lessons in the Recipe for Reading Teacher's Manual, Revised (sold-separately) which also corresponds to the Recipe for Reading Workbook 1 and Workbook 2 (also each sold-separately). 

Stories increase in difficulty, and help students practice target words, review sounds, review sight words, apply phonics concepts, and build up comprehension skills while reading motivating, engaging stories. Word lists, fluency sentences, and comprehension questions, as well as black-and-white illustrations, are also included, along with a Scope & Sequence. Pages vary from 14-22.
